Gender inequality, especially among the most vulnerable segments of the population, affects the entire social structure. The Orquestra Sinfônica Juvenil Chiquinha Gonzaga works to interrupt the cycle of gender inequality in orchestral music, valuing female instrumentalists, by encouraging them to perform in the most diverse sections and in leadership roles.
In dialogue with Sustainable Development Goal 5 (“Gender Equality”), the idea is that girls, young people and women increasingly play a leading role, being great examples for this and future generations.
